Spencer .

Our blue heeler, Spencer was 9 years old when he crossed the rainbow bridge. He loved to go anywhere with his dad, all you had to do was say, "let's get in the jeep" and he would hop up and run. His favorite thing to do was hike and camp. He has hiked parts of the Appalachian trail and too many other trails to name in the Blue Ridge Mountains.   He loved to swim in the rivers and streams they came across on the trails, and also loved to swim in Lake James. For a dog who loved the water so much, he hated a bath! He also spent lots of his time traveling with his dad for work. Not too many dogs have been in 46 of the lower 48 states, but Spencer has!    He was the ultimate guard dog and would have gone to any extreme to protect his family. He was such a good boy and he will always stay in our hearts.
